Christmas cards

Hi All

Well decided yesterday that it was about time I did some more christmas cards (have done a combined total of 40 at the moment including some left over from last year)

The first two cards used this great snowflake card/paper, I was certainly inspired by it, and was pleased that I had enough to do two cards, but can't remember where I got it from. The emblishments were from stash and I think that the subtle colours compliment the paper the really well.

The next card is another one that I love, its another one of my 'mini cards'. The gold embossed card was part of a christmas inspiration pack that I got from a local craft store. I combined it a die cut image that was from stash (can't recall company, sorry) and thats it. I haven't put a sentiment on it yet as I am undecided on whether it needs it or not, what do you think?

A mini Card

Hi All

Can't believe that it is Friday already. Apologies for lack of posts this week - I had a major deadline yesterday for getting all the necessary forms in for my dissertation project. Now that their in I can make a start on it.

Anyway onto the card, I realised when looking back at previous posts that I haven't shown you any of my 'mini cards' basically these are made from off cuts of card blanks used on other cards. This particular card was really easy to make, the white squares is just plain white card and the flowers are from stash. And beacuse of the size it was really quick to make.

Well off to do some blog hopping to see what you have all been creating this week.

A modern Take

Good morning everyone

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I managed to get some craft time in last night and here is one of the creations. I was asked by one of the people I am living with to make a 'modern' happy birthday card and this is what I came up with.
The backing paper is from stash, the yellow card is actually the card base, the sentiment is from Anita's outline stickers, the mirror is from my embroidery stash and the metal flower and the colour twigs are also from stash. I personally am not sure whether I like it or not, but the person who asked for it loved it so I guess thats the main thing.

The help centre was not very helpful in this regard

Happy Birthday

Hi All

This was the other posting that I was planning to make yesterday, I started doing some more pages for a scrap book I am making and before I knew it was too late to make a posting so today I will be doing two posts.

This card has been a work in progress for over a year, this partly beacuse I didn't know what I wanted to go on it or what occassion it was going to be for. Then a few weeks ago I put the finishing touches to it - still not overly happy with it but at least its finished. The card itself is made up using green cardstock, silver paper from stash (can't recall company sorry, I cut the cardstock down a bit and used the left bit and some of the silver paper that was left over to punch stars out of then applied them to card, mounted sentiment onto the cardstock that was left added some yellow paper and some black ribbon added to top right hand corner. Then using some wire and star emblishments made an emblishment for the front of the card.

Gardening

Hi All

Wow, where has this past week gone, can't believe its friday today - not that I am complaining. Before getting on to the card, last night I had a phone call from my local craft store saying that I had won one of their promotion day prizes of a small scrapbook, a pack of christmas rub-ons and some clear stamps, needless to say I pleased.

I am pretty pleased with this card. The backing paper is from stash, flowers are punched, the ribbon is from stash, the garden tools are by papermania and can't find stamp at the moment so not sure who its by.

Well enjoy your weekend. Hopefully will be able to make another post later.

Retail Therapy

Hi All

Todays card is a bit of an old one - I made it months ago for a good friends birthday who likes to clothes shop. The card was very easy to make as all the elements were in my 'scraps box'. The backing paper and paper strip at the bottom were from stash as was the emblishments and sentiment, the poka dot bag is actually a copy of the die cut bag.

Also sue is having a blog candy on her blog at the moment - use the link in my side bar to go and join in.

Skate board

Hi All

Well I'm back - so much for me posting a card everyday. Can not believe its been over a month since my last post, trust me I have made loads of cards in that time to show you all. I have now decided to post every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (and other days if I have the time)as I have a huge backlog of cards to show you all now.

Anyway, enough of me blabbering on and onto the card itself, the ribbon is from stash, the paper is from the Forever friends collection and the stamp is from the craft barn, it is coloured using coloured pencils. I hope you like it. This is one of the cards that went to be sold (I have since repeated this card twice for different people as this one was snapped up very quickly by someone wanting a boys card.)

Well off to do some blog hopping see you all tommorow
